They Vanished without a Trace, From Planes to Prison,

Here are 5 Famous Disappearances

D.B. Cooper

 1971

A Man using the name Dan Cooper hijacked a plane travelling from Portland to Seattle in 1971. He claimed to have a bomb, and demands $200,000 and Parachutes.

When his requests were given, he parachuted out of the plane. He was never found.

No trace of him was ever materialized and his true identity is still unknown.

The Mary Celeste

1872       

One of the Greatest Nautical Mysteries ever. A ship in almost perfect condition, with plenty of food and supplies, and belongings of it’s crew on board was found abandoned in the Atlantic.

Some theories about this Ghost Ship range from Aliens to Pirates to Bermuda Triangle. But the most likely scenario involves a big explosion of its cargo of alcohol.

Whatever happened, the crew never surface and was never found.

Amelia Earhart

 1937

Amelia Earhart, a Famous Aviatrix, she was an International Star when she disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean.

After departing New Guinea with his navigator, Amelia disappeared on her round the world flight.

Some presumes her plane crashes and she sank or lives through it.

Years later, some claimed she was a spy and others say’s she fake’s her death to escape fame.

What happen to her has never been confirmed.

Flight 19

 1945

Flight 19 Incident made it hard to deny the “Bermuda Triangle” existence.

Five Torpedo Bombers was on the training exercise, flying over the mysterious area (Bermuda Triangle) , when it became evident via a radio transmissions that the 14 Airman had lost their way and suddenly disappeared.

No Wreckage of the planes was found.

The Plane that was sent to search for Flight 19 also disappeared mysteriously on the same area, losing 13 more.

Frank Morris, John & Clarence Anglin

 1962

No one ever escapes Alcatraz Prison, but after months of preparation and planning, Frank Morris and brothers John and Clarence Anglin crawled into the holes they dug in their cell walls and make their way out of the prison.

They swim over the water surrounding Alcatraz Prison using life jackets and raft they crafted from rain coats.

All of them probably drowned, but despite an extensive manhunt, their bodies where never located.

Later investigations suggested they could have survived. They were never found.

In 1979, their infamous story was re-enact in the film “Escape from Alcatraz”

Hook Island is an Uninhabited Island that many claimed to be a place where an Unknown Large Marine Animal live.

In fact it is a classic photograph taken by Robert Le Serrec in 1965 and the picture was briefly discussed among zoologist.

Robert Le Serrec claimed that the photos are genuine and it is a Real Sea Serpent.

Charlie Chaplin Movie Time Travelers

January 6, 1928

In the extras of Charlie Chaplin's movie " The Circus " in 1928, something strange was taken, a person appears seemingly talking on a phone.

Some claims that she was actually using an Ear Trumpet, but the intriguing part is that the person appears to be laughing and talking into the device.

Filmmaker George Clarke claimed that this is a hard evidence of Time Travelers.

The Unknown Rebel

June 5, 1989

A day after the Chinese Government's fierce crackdown on Tienanmen Protest in Beijing, in Chan'an Avenue, an Unknown Man block the road.

The Unknown Rebel protesting alone and blocking the column of tanks.

The photograph becomes famous and becomes an influential symbol of anti-violence resistance throughout the World.

Who is he and what happen to the rebel remains a big mystery. A theory study also said that if the Man is still alive, he may be unaware of his International Recognition.

Solway Firth Spaceman

May 12, 1964

 Jim Templeteon with his family was on a trip to Burgh Marsh. Alone in the Marsh, they decided to take some photos. Jim took a picture of his five-year-old daughter.

When the pictures were developed, a mysterious figure appeared in the background, a Spaceman. They complained to the film manufacturer but analysis confirmed that the film got nothing to do with it.

There is no explanation to the photo so far.

Goddard's Squadron Photograph

Taken in 1989 / Published in 1975

This is a group photo of Goddard's Squadron, which served WWI.

Look at the top and you will notice a very intriguing detail.

A face behind one of the soldier appears, he is the air mechanic named Freddy Jackson...

..who died two days earlier by an Airplane Propeller.

His Funeral is taking place on the day this photograph was snapped.
