Review : Xbox One vs PS4

In few more months, Two of the largest Game Console Producers will launch their products to the Market.

The Xbox One and PS4 will go head to head to see which video game system will deliver the best performance over the next years.
Both game  consoles are evenly matched in many aspect, but I know everyone of us has our own favorite in the past years.

Will you change your console after reading this article? What are their advantages and disadvantages on each other.
This article will focus on both system specs, Lets get started.

CONSOLE DESIGN

Both Microsoft and Sony went with Box-Like designs for their Game Consoles.

Xbox One literally put in Xbox, with large black rectangular shape.
It has been compared to an over sized 80's VCR unit.

PS4 on the other hand reminded everyone of PS2 design when Sony unveiled what the PS4 looked like at E3 2013.

PS4 is smaller in size compared to Xbox One and a little bit sleeker.

Xbox One and PS4 console designs aren't surprising at all, especially compared to the more dynamic looking version of their previous game consoles.

But what really matters most is what on the inside, not on how they look.

CONTROLLER DESIGN

The Xbox One controller vs PS4 DualShock 4 controller is a debate that won't be won anytime soon, because most of the gamers already have their own preference.

Sony nor Microsoft have radically change their respective controllers over the years, they're more like evolution from 2000 - 2001.

DualShock 4 is a little bigger thanks to its unique front-and-center touchpad. Sony stuck with dual analog sticks down in front but at least have a central divot recess for easier gripping.

Xbox One also didn't mess with its success, only slightly modifying its controller. 40 design innovations, including the tweaked D-Pad on the bottom left of the game pad and extra rumble features.

In testing of two controllers at E3 2013, DualShock 4 felt leaps and bounds better than the DualShock 3 controller, however, it was only catching up to comfort already provided by the Xbox One gamepads.

KINECT & PS4 EYE

Both companies are changing forward with motion-sensing games thanks to the Xbox One Kinect and PS4 Eye.

Xbox designed the 1080p Kinect to track up to six skeletons for immerse video game effects, that the company says " Human Control for a Human Experience."

The packed - in Kinect 2.0 will be able to process 2GB of data per second, analyzing more joints, the slight rotation of a wrist or shoulder and your heartbeat.

The PS4 Eye, which will not come with the PS4 system, feature 1280x800 pixels cameras inside a similarly shaped camera bar.

DualShock 4 controller will come into play with the PS4 Eye, thanks to its multi-colored light bar.

LAUNCH GAMES

XBOX

Xbox One lauch exclusive games like Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Killer Instinct, LocoCycle and Kinect Sport Rivals.

Further out, notable Xbox one launch Windows Games are Titanfall, Project Spark and Minecraft: Xbox One Edition.

PS4

Sony PS4 launch game lineup with Killzone Shadow Fall, Driveclube, Knack and Diablo 3, all exclusives releasing on day one.

Joining those games whenever the PS4 launch date happens are Watch Dogs and AC4: Black Flag.

Both of these Highly Anticipated games are also releasing on Xbox One, But PS4 ( and PS3) gamers are going to see extra hours of gameplay for each. :)

Sony also showing off PS4 games like inFamous: Second Son and The Witness and The order 1886 at E3 2013.

PRICE

Xbox One will cost $499 in the U.S., premium price because it comes with 1080p Kinect camera out of the box.

PS4 will cost $399 in the U.S., without PS4 eye. Separately the PS4 camera a.k.a the PS4 Eye will cost $59, so PS4 is still cheaper.

Some says Sony will have a distinct advantage this Holiday when it comes to sales and earnings.

RELEASE DATE

Both Xbox One and PS4 release dates remain a mystery, both companies seem skittish about announcing the exact dates for their launches.

As it stands, Xbox One is scheduled to release in November, so gamers in U.S. and Europe should expect to see the console on the store shelves within that 30-day.

Sony on the other hand hasn't announced the PS4 release date, all they say is that their console will be launch beyond "Holiday 2013" but still likely to come out also in November.

November has been the preferred month for the previous console launches.

OTHERS

The design of the consoles, the feel of the controller and the games make up the main differences from which the consumers will decide.

However, there are smaller factors potential PS4 and Xbox One buyers should consider.

Both Microsoft and Sony are charging for Multiplayer this generation, however, only Microsoft is going back to lock apps behind Xbox Live paywall.

Sony has confirmed that streaming video content like Netflix, Hulu Plus and MLB TV on PS4 won't require a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Either way, both game consoled are evenly matched, it's up to us whether we buy Xbox One or PS4 or Both.

IMO PS4 is better because Im using game consoles for entertainment purpose only and not planning on paying yearly subs etc.
